What Is Pegomancy?
Pegomancy is divination (i.e., prediction) through the observation and interpretation of the movement of water droplets rising from a fountain or spring (pege being the Greek word for fountain or spring). This extended to reading the shapes created by the body of bubbling water emitted by a fountain or spring and also to patterns formed in sacred pools once agitated by the dropping of a stone.
